I must say, there is nothing more luxurious-feeling in this world than purchasing Chanel. I’m not sure, but a girl can dream, right?
Actually, I retract that statement. I may say I’ve made a few little (but significant) purchases from the ultra-chic designer house. When I wear them, I feel high-end and French, with a hint of je ne sais quoi. Yes, I’m referring to Chanel lipsticks. Chanel has you covered whether you need a lip stain for a night out or something matte to add a pop of colour to your everyday look.
In order to reach a final decision about that matter, we needed the help of Chanel’s team of makeup artists. Things’s not an easy effort to narrow it down, but they did it. The artists revealed their favourite colours for themselves and their celebrity clients. Look no further than the atelier for the best Chanel lipsticks of all time.
Rouge Allure Ink Fusion Liquid Lip Colour in Brun Mystérieux

Nina Park, a Chanel makeup artist, is a fan of this gorgeous red-brown colour since it is flattering on all skin tones and can be built up to any intensity. Whenever I use this product, I dab it on the back of my hand, dip it onto a Q-tip, and apply it to my lips-starting in the middle, then feathering out and building up a stain.

Park was so taken with this colour for a brief moment that she posted at least 50 images of herself wearing it on Instagram. “When I put on this peachy, coral rose colour, it doesn’t feel overbearing,” she says. “It has a gentle boldness to it that brightens your complexion. To create the colour, I like to go in straight with the bullet. I blot lightly with the first application for longer wear, but not afterwards since I like how it sparkles on my lips.

Park’s holy grail red, which is constantly in her beauty bag. “It instantly brightens any complexion. I like how the smooth, powdery texture contrasts with the fresh, glowing skin. For a flawless application, I make sure the lips are hydrated and primed.
Rouge Allure Lip Colour in Rouge Angélique

Makeup artist Cyndle Komarovski favours this classic, warm colour on celebrities such as Kristine Froseth. “It’s a traditional warm nude brown that feels so new while also evoking a hint of ’90s nostalgia.” It also looks fantastic on all skin tones.

This liquid lipstick has an excellent texture,” adds Komarovski. “It’s shiny and completely opaque, but it won’t budge. It’s unquestionably a show-stopping crimson lipstick. This hue was recently used on model Cara Taylor for a beauty shoot!”

Have you ever wondered what colour a Chanel makeup artist wears on a daily basis? Komarovski declares this one a complete success. “This is my go-to lipstick colour for everyday.” It’s really perfect for pale lips that need a boost. You can apply it without even looking in the mirror—definitely a handbag staple.
