I have some exciting news! It’s that time of the year again where I get to tell you all about my beauty predictions for the upcoming season. There’s not a doubt in my mind that this winter will be HOT, and I don’t just mean by temperature. The trends that we see in makeup each season are always so interesting, and they seem to change drastically from year to year! The crazy thing about this winter in particular, however, is the fact that so many of the trends that we’ll be seeing everywhere aren’t really new at all!
1) Glittery Lids
Glittery lids are the trend to watch this winter. This makeup look is perfect for a night out or just a little flair during the day. The shimmery eye shadow paired with neutral tones will have you looking like you’re ready for any occasion. All you need to do is dust on some glitter and your good to go!

2) Bold Brows
Bold brows are a trend that will stick around through winter and into spring. They’re perfect for making eyes look more dramatic, or adding a bit of contrast to lighter eye makeup looks. We’ve been seeing this trend popping up in photos all over Instagram, but there are many ways to create these bold brows depending on your style.
Here are some tips for creating the perfect bold brows:
- Start by filling in your eyebrows with a pencil or powder, whichever you prefer best.
- Use an angled brush to shape and fill in the tails at the end of your eyebrow.
- For extra definition, use an angled brush to fill in any gaps between hairs where you might have missed some spots before.
- Use concealer or light cream eyeshadow on top of your eyebrow (in whatever color is most flattering) as a highlight so it stands out from the rest of your face.

3) Dark Lips
If you’re looking for a new way to spice up your makeup routine, consider rocking this trend. Dark lips are not just for nighttime anymore. The best part? They look great with every skin tone and create a trendy, yet classic look that is perfect for any occasion.
1) Line your lips with a dark lip liner before filling them in with a deep red lipstick or liquid lipstick.
2) For an extra dramatic effect, use a black eyeliner instead of lining the outside of your lips.
3) Apply clear gloss on top for moisture and shine.
4) Have fun with different textures by adding cream lippies, matte liquid lipsticks, or matte pencils to the mix!

4) Flushed Cheeks
The winter season is coming up and that means that your makeup has to be ready for it. Flushed cheeks are in right now, so make sure to have a highlighter on hand. But not just any highlighter, this one by Kevyn Aucoin is perfect because it has a duo-chrome effect, meaning you can use it on your cheekbones or as an eyeshadow.

5) Smoky Eyes
Smoky eye makeup is a great way to make your eyes look more dramatic and you can use a variety of shades to create this look. For example, if you are going for a more natural daytime smoky eye, you might want to use light shades such as browns and pinks. If you want something more evening appropriate, use darker shades like black, navy blue or dark purple.
6) Metallic Eyes
It’s no secret that metallic eyes are popular in the winter, but this year they’re taking over the entire face. They’re not just for your lids – you can wear them on your lips, cheeks, and even your nails. The best part? Metallic colors aren’t limited to gold or silver shades. You can find metallics in every color of the rainbow!

7) Glowing Skin
Glowing skin is not just for summer anymore! With the trending emphasis on natural beauty, it’s now more important than ever to have a flawless complexion. One way to get glowing skin is by using a product like Bioré Baking Soda Pore Cleanser. It removes excess oil and dirt build-up, unclogs pores and leaves skin feeling fresh and clean.

8) Nude Lips
Nude lips are the way to go, because they’re totally chic and can be worn by anyone. With so many options out there, it’s hard to pick which shade is right for you, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try. Nude shades like ‘Barely There’ by Revlon or ‘Natural Pink’ from Maybelline are an easy choice if you don’t know where to start.

9) Natural Brows
If you want to get into the trend of natural brows, you can use a toothbrush or a spoolie brush to brush your eyebrows up and back in order to mimic the natural shape of your brows. If you want them to look fuller, try using an eyebrow gel over them.
