The Rolling Stones’ Charlie Watts is the topic of a forthcoming biography, made with the approval of the late drummer’s household and his band mates. Keith Richards and Mick Jagger each wrote forewords to the venture, which is titled Charlie’s Good Tonight: The Life, the Instances, and the Rolling Stones: The Licensed Biography of Charlie Watts. Watts died unexpectedly in August 2021 at age 80. A number of weeks prior, he had recused himself from the Rolling Stones’ fall tour of the US because of a medical process. The band continued on the street as deliberate, with Steve Jordan filling in for Watts.
