Venice Film Festival celebrated its 79th edition honouring cinema from all around the globe. This year’s red carpet, which was attended by seasoned actors Cate Blanchet and Olivia Wilde, also marked a high point in fashion. Actors and celebrities dressed to impress, with Harry Styles, Sadie Sink, and Florence Pugh standing out. While Timothee Chalamet made a statement on the red carpet in an iconic red backless gown, arguing for gender-fluid fashion in 2022, we saw a fantastic representation of the South Asian population with Diipa Büller Khosla and Simone Ashley. Diipa Büller Khosla, a global fashion influencer and entrepreneur from India, has made her mark on the international stage.

Diipa Büller Khosla made a statement in a feathery gown.
Diipa Khosla appeared in an off-the-shoulder feather cape gown from Nicole Felicia Couture SS22 Collection, a nod to this year’s Met Gala theme of golden glamour. The influencer known for making bold statements on red carpets opted for a dreamy yet dramatic atmosphere with a column silhouette cloud pink gown. For an ethereal look, they upped the drama with a sweeping cathedral train cape of a similar shade. Tanya Gharvi, the famed fashion stylist, skillfully put together the costume, which also contained a set of detachable sleeves, a contemporary trend that has been making its way to the shelves of notable fashion savants.
Cuffs along the hemlines added a more structured contour to the feathered detachable sleeves. She wore a sleek bun updo with tiny Pasquale Bruni jewellery for a clean look. Khosla was a sight to behold, with radiant makeup by Luca Cianciolo emphasising the elongated form of her eyes while experimenting with lights, shadows, and tints in earth tones. Diipa Büller Khosla made a strong impression at the Venice Film Festival this year, putting her best foot forward.
