An investigation has decided that the 14-year-old boy who died after falling from a thrill trip in Florida final month occurred as a result of the seat he was in had been manually adjusted, inflicting it to be “unsafe.”
“This report confirmed our division’s findings that an operator of the Orlando drop tower made handbook changes to the trip, leading to it being unsafe,” Florida Commissioner of Agriculture and Client Providers Nikki Fried stated at a press convention.
The highschool soccer star was at Orlando’s ICON Park for Spring Break and determined to go on the FreeFall trip. Tyre Sampson was thrown from the 400ft trip.
“He was panicking when he was going up,” the boy’s father, Yarnell Sampson, informed Fox35. “When the trip took off, that is when he was feeling uncomfortable. He was like, ‘What is going on on?’ That is when he began freaking out, and he was explaining to his buddy subsequent to him, ‘I do not know man. If I do not make it down, please inform my Mother and Daddy I like them.’ For him to say one thing like that, he should have felt one thing.”
