Korean Air began as a small Asian airline with only eight planes on March 1, 1969. Since then, we’ve worked hard to expand into new markets and improve customer service through constant changes and investments.
“To be a respected leader in the global airline community,” we declared in 2004 to commemorate Korean Air’s 35th anniversary. We have been striving to provide our customers with safer and more distinguished services than any other airline in the world under the slogan “Excellence in Flight.”
Korean Air celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2019. Korean Air has risen to greater heights as a leading global airline thanks to the love of our customers and the trust of our nation. We will never forget the support and trust shown by our customers, who have dubbed us the “Wings of the People” for the past half-century.
Korean Air is taking the next step and flying into the next century. We will be reborn as the “Wings of the World,” helping to build a better society for all.
