Lori Harvey’s cash-green puffy dress at New York Fashion Week tells us it’s time to layer up for fall. On September 8, the model wore an iridescent minidress from Christian Cowan’s fall/winter 2018 collection to Vogue’s New York Fashion Week launch event. Harvey accessorised the look with diamond earrings and Christian Louboutin So Kate Patent Leather 120 Pumps in white. For the evening event, she styled her hair in a straight haircut and sported strong mascara and a two-toned lip.

Elly Karamoh styled Harvey’s gown, which featured a high neck and huge dramatic sleeves made of a shimmering quilted fabric. A thigh-high slit disappeared beneath the large ring belt around her waist, and an equally eye-catching strip of fabric fell down past the figure-hugging skirt to the dress’s emerald ribbed hemline. As we plan our fall wardrobes, Harvey’s dress serves as a reminder that the perfect coat can make — or perhaps be — the outfit.
The look is one of many that Harvey, a New York Fashion Week regular, will reveal in the next week. One of the model’s most memorable NYFW ensembles in the past was an all-white Michael Kors blazer and fitted slacks. Harvey most recently wore a hooded slip dress with a high slit from Greg Lauren’s spring 2015 collection at the premiere of Netflix’s “Me Time” in Los Angeles. She also wore a transparent, tiger-print catsuit by LaQuan Smith for a night out shortly before the premiere.
