Low Bun

A low bun is an elegant and easy hairstyle to achieve. It’s perfect for any holiday party or event, and can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.
To create a low bun, start by gathering your hair into a ponytail at the nape of your neck.
Then, twist your hair until it forms a rope, and wrap it around itself to form a bun.
Secure with bobby pins, and mist with hairspray to finish.
Side Chignon

A side chignon is the perfect way to add a touch of elegance to any holiday outfit. Plus, it’s an easy hairstyle to do yourself!
Here’s how:
- Start with clean, dry hair.
- Create a deep side part.
- Gather your hair into a low ponytail at the nape of your neck.
- Twist your hair into a rope braid and secure with an elastic.
- Take one strand from the left side of your braid and wrap it around the base.
- Pin in place with a bobby pin
- Continue doing this until you reach the end of your hair.
- Repeat steps 5-7 on the right side of your head.
- Carefully unravel both braids so they’re even on both sides of your head.
- Secure both braids together with a few bobby pins at the crown of your head to complete the look!
Updo

An updo is the perfect way to show off your holiday spirit while keeping your hair out of your face. Plus, it’s a great style for holiday parties and photos.
Here’s how to do it:
- Start with clean, dry hair. If your hair is on the greasy side, start with dry shampoo at the roots.
- Create a middle part, then gather your hair into a low ponytail at the nape of your neck.
- Twist the top half of your hair clockwise around the base of the ponytail until all of your hair is up in a twist.
- Secure with bobby pins from back to front, then tuck in any stray hairs around your face or neckline that may have come loose during the process (or break them off with scissors).
- Create a middle part, then gather your hair into a low ponytail at the nape of your neck.
- Bring the tail of the ponytail over to one side, securing it with a hair elastic band.
- Take a piece of hair from the end of your tail and wrap it around both pieces to create another loop, twisting it so that you’re creating two loops on either side of your head.
- Pin down this new loop with bobby pins before wrapping another piece around both pieces to create yet another loop.
- Continue this pattern until you’ve reached the ends of your ponytail. Gently pull the loops apart from each other to create some volume and fullness at the crown of your head.
- Use more bobby pins if necessary to secure everything in place, making sure not to put too many right near your scalp because they can leave marks when removed later on (and pulling those out will be extra painful!).
- Lightly mist with hairspray, curlers or curlers as desired, then enjoy!
Back Tied

This hairstyle is simple and easy to do, plus it keeps your hair out of your face so you can focus on enjoying the festivities. Start by tying your hair back into a low ponytail, then use a second hair tie to divide your hair into two sections. Take the top section and twist it around the base of the ponytail, then do the same with the bottom section. Secure both sections with bobby pins and you’re all set!
