The holiday season means more events and get-togethers than usual, so it’s important to have an amazing look that you can replicate effortlessly from day to day. I’ve put together the perfect holiday beauty look for you that’s elegant but not too fussy, and best of all, it’s easy to maintain! Here are my tips on how to achieve your perfect holiday beauty look.
Foundation
Start with your base! Your foundation should be light and buildable, but also have an SPF in it. If you’re really looking for that glow, try a liquid highlighter on the cheekbones, brow bones and down the center of the nose. This will give your skin a healthy sheen. On the eyes, create a smoky eye by using black eyeliner in the waterline and outer corners of the eye for maximum drama!

Concealer
The key to looking fresh is concealer. It’s the one makeup product that can cover up dark circles and any other imperfections, making you look like you’ve had eight hours of sleep every night. Concealers come in different formulations so find the right one for your skin type.

Powder
- Apply your primer, then foundation – these are your base.
- Use a powder brush and dust on loose powder, especially on the t-zone area.
- Add blush or bronzer to the cheeks for some warmth.
- Apply lipstick or lip gloss in an appropriate color. (e.g., red)

Blush
Brush blush onto the apples of your cheeks, following the contours of your face. For more natural looks, sweep up and out toward your hairline. For more dramatic looks, sweep down and out toward your jawbone. Sweep along the tops of cheekbones for an all-over glow. Finish with a highlighter in the center of each cheekbone and on the bridge of your nose to add dimension and reflect light.

Eyeshadow
A few easy steps can help you achieve the perfect holiday look. Step 1: Apply a shimmery champagne eyeshadow on your lids and in the inner corner of your eye, blending it down and outward. Step 2: Apply dark brown eyeshadow on your crease, blending it up towards the eyebrow bone. Step 3: Apply black eyeliner on top of that, tightlining your lower lash line and filling in any gaps at the outer corners of your eye.

Eyeliner
One of the easiest ways to enhance your look is with eyeliner. You can either go for a subtle cat eye, or something more dramatic and intense. Go for winged liner if you’re feeling confident and want your eyes to really pop. To get that perfect winged line, take your eyeliner and start at the corner of your eye where it meets the lashes and draw it up towards the end of your eyebrow. Repeat on the other eye and voilà – you’re ready to party!

Mascara
Pick up a mascara that has your preferred wand type. A lot of people like the volumizing brush or the lengthening brush, but some prefer a more natural look. Next, apply one coat of your mascara and let it dry before applying another coat if you want more volume. Repeat with as many coats as you feel necessary to get the desired effect. Avoid applying too much on your eyelashes and coating them in clumps of product for an unattractive effect!

Lips
A festive red lip is the perfect way to finish off your holiday look. To get the most out of this look, make sure that you use a lip liner in the same color as your lipstick. This will help your lipstick stay put and not bleed outside of the lines. For extra staying power, try using a lip primer before applying your lippie. This will provide an even base for your lipstick which will allow it to last longer without fading or smudging.
